See below for the shifts that we usually fill. We could still use some help for Teardown. If you still want to help out, please stop by the Volunteer Booth on the day of the event and ask to speak to the volunteer coordinator.
Folsom Street East is a 100% volunteer event, and we only thrive on the enthusiastic participation of our volunteers. And volunteering puts you right in the heart of the action.
We need people to help setup, put on the event during the day, and finally take it down. Shift times are relatively short, so you will still be able to a full day of fun and debauchery. All Volunteers receive a Folsom Street East “Crew” t-shirt and a generous helping of gratitude…which comes in many forms.
CALL FOR FOLSOM STREET EAST VOLUNTEERS
The list of volunteer opportunities is below. Please fill out the form, and let us know your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices. Thanks in advance for your flexibility. To volunteer for more than one shift, simply tell us in the comments section.
- The biggest needs are for:
- Third Event Staff Shift (5:15 – 7:15)
- Teardown (7:00 – 8:30).
(A) STREET SWEEP – Broom-sweep sidewalks and street. Coffee and Doughnuts provided!
Shift Time: 9:00 am – 10:30 am
(B) STREET GUARD – Make sure only vendors and volunteers are on FSE site.
FIRST SHIFT: 7:00 am – 9:00 am
SECOND SHIFT: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
THIRD SHIFT: 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
(C) SETUP – Set up tables, chairs, and banners.
FIRST SHIFT: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
SECOND SHIFT: 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
THIRD SHIFT: 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
(D) EVENT STAFF – Greet people, collect donations, crowd control, staff the FSE booth, and floaters/runners based at Volunteer Table.
FIRST SHIFT: 1:45 pm – 3:45 pm
SECOND SHIFT:3:30 pm – 5:30 pm
THIRD SHIFT: 5:15 pm – 7:15 pm
(E) TEAR DOWN – Fold and stack tables and chairs
Shift Time: 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
All Volunteers receive FSE “Crew” t-shirt
